「Technologies for Vascularized Tissue Fabrication In Vitro」の論文募集が開始されました。

The development of 3D tissue constructs in vitro has been a long-standing objective in the field of tissue engineering. However, even today, it is almost impossible to create the tissues of more than 1 mm thickness except for cartilage because of the difficulty in the development of the perfusable vascular-like network in the tissues. For realizing the vascularized tissue fabrication in vitro, the technologies for controlling vascular cell behaviors, including migration, proliferation, and tubular structure formation are required. In addition, the technologies for developing perfusable vascular-like structure in tissues are strongly required.

We invite investigators to contribute reviews and original papers describing recent findings in the fields of tissue engineering containing vascular structure and vascular fabrication which can be used for obtaining dense 3D tissue constructs. We are interested in both engineered and biological approaches to realize it.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

#Vascular-like structure fabrication in hydrogels

#Vascular tissue fabrication using templates

#Controlling behavior of vascular cells on substrates and in hydrogels

#Vascular network construction using decellularized tissues
