Transport phenomena including momentum, heat and mass transfer are not only the fundamental problems seen in various chemical engineering processes but also play important roles in environmental preservation and efficient energy use. Therefore, the smart control of transport phenomena is highly required. From this viewpoint, we now study the control method of various transport phenomena by using the external forces such as rotation, magnetic and electronic fields. Furthermore, investigating Marangoni convection arisen on liquid-liquid interface and stress relaxation on solid-liquid interface, we challenge interfacial phenomena between different phases. Especially, by controlling the transport and interfacial phenomena in material processing, we are going to improve traditional approaches drastically and develop innovative methods of material processing.
