Ryohei Kishi was born in May 1981, in Hyogo, JAPAN. He accomplished his master degree from Osaka University in 2006. During doctor course in Osaka University, he was selected as a research fellowship for young scientist at Japan society for the promotion of science (JSPS) from 2006 to 2007. In February 2007, before graduating the doctor course, he left the course and became a research associate of Department of Materials Engineering Science at Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University under the direction of Professor Dr. Masayoshi Nakano. In April 2007, he became an Assistant Professor of Department of Materials Engineering Science at Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. He received his Ph.D. in 2009 from Osaka University under the supervision of Professor Dr. Masayoshi Nakano. In May 2020, he was promoted to Associate Professor. The title of his Ph.D. thesis was “Development of Theoretical Method for Electron Dynamics and Its Application to Energy Migration and Optical Responses”. His recent research projects especially focus on, (1) development of novel theoretical method for coherent and incoherent electron dynamics based on the ab initio electron correlation theory and its application to optical responses and electron and energy transfer processes, (2) modeling linear and two-photon absorption spectra of open-shell molecules by the ab initio correlated MO and DFT based methodologies, (3) design of highly nonlinear-optical active open-shell molecular systems, (4) predicting spin properties of open-shell conjugated systems.
